Consultation has concluded.
The City of Ridgefield has initiated Envision Ridgefield 2045, a process to update the city’s Comprehensive Plan and five public facilities plans to account for 20 years of growth and remain consistent with the requirements of the Growth Management Act (GMA). This update is a multi-year initiative that will involve the City and community members working together to plan for the future of Ridgefield.
Over the past year, the City has been collecting information and talking with you and your neighbors about the future of Ridgefield. Now, it’s time to share what we’ve learned and ask community members to help make some important decisions. Please take 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire and mapping exercise below about the future of Ridgefield. These activities will be open until Friday, October 4.
Note: This is an online version of the in-person Community Workshop on Tuesday, September 10. If you attended the in-person workshop, you are welcome to participate, however you will find that these questions will duplicate those discussions. In person and online feedback will be given equal weight in feedback evaluations.

A first step in the process is to create a community vision that reflects what the community would like Ridgefield to be in 20 years. Engagement activities thus far have included 20 community conversations and an online survey which captured 330 responses. For each of these activities, participants were asked to answer two primary questions:
What makes Ridgefield special today? What should we strive to conserve or enhance?
What about Ridgefield would you like to see change in the future? What can improve?
Those aspirations were used to draft themes that will inform the vision. Please review the vision themes below and tell us if they are on track, what is missing, and how to best achieve them.
