5th Street Pavement Restoration
The City of Ridgefield will be completing pavement restoration on South 5th Street between S 74th Pl and N 85th Ave.
Project Background
This project will restore the existing roadway of S 5th St between S 74th Pl and N 85th Ave. If budget allows, an additional section of roadway between S Union Ridge Parkway and S 74th Pl will be included in the project. The image below identifies the project area, including the potential additional segment. Click here to view the image in full screen.
The Ridgefield Junction industrial/commercial area has been planned, through the Ridgefield Junction Sub Area plan to serve the long-term viability of this developing local and regional economy. This will restore a critical roadway in the area and ensure adequate continued access.
The project is currently under design work to determine the existing conditions and extent of work required. Once design has completed, the city will select a contractor to complete the repair work. Repairs will occur in later summer or early fall 2023.
Next Steps
The city is working with the contractor on pre-construction planning. Additional information on construction timelines will be posted here when available.
Traffic impacts for restoration will become clear once the exact repair work is identified. Traffic updates can be found anytime on our Road Construction and Traffic Impacts webpage.
