The City of Ridgefield has been working through Envision Ridgefield 2045, a process to update Ridgefield’s Comprehensive Plan. As part of this process, we are planning for parks and recreation facilities, service and programs.
Comprehensive plans are composed of multiple chapters, known as “elements,” that each focus on citywide topics like housing, transportation, the environment, public utilities, and more. The parks and recreation element will contain goals and policies to guide land acquisition, partnerships, funding, capital development and programming.
Capital Facilities Plan
As part of the Envision Ridgefield 2045 Comprehensive Plan, the Parks CFP establishes a long-term strategy for park, trail, and recreation investments, including priority projects, cost estimates, and guiding principles to support community growth and quality of life. The final version incorporates input from the Parks Board (March 12) and City Council (April 10), with revisions focused on community needs, geographic equity, and sustainability and was adopted by City Council on May 22, 2025.
Additional information will be added to this element as it becomes available.
