Situated within the Paradise Pointe Subdivision, Phase 1 of this new 15-acre park will open in 2025. In initial planning, we have referred to this as "Paradise Pointe Park," however with the proximity to Paradise Point State Park, a new name is needed. The name ideas gathered here will be evaluated by the Parks Board and City Council and final names will be brought back to the public for feedback.Site History and CharacteristicsThe site of the future park was formerly farmland and includes a large pond that has been used at various times as part of the farm, a duck-hunting site, and for wildlife viewing. The northwest corner of the site is a seasonal oak wetland and has long been home to a variety of native plants, birds, and mammals. Master PlanThe park Master Plan was developed through engagement and collaboration with community members, City Council, Parks Board, and local organizations and adopted in December 2024. The intent of the final plan is to create a balanced approach between recreation and ecological preservation. Features such as soft-surface trails, wildlife viewing structures, and raptor-nesting platforms allow visitors to enjoy sensitive habitats without causing significant disruption.Park program elements include paved and earthen trails throughout the park, viewpoints and benches along trails, pedestrian bridge at stream crossing, wildlife viewing platforms, fishing platform at main pond, oak habitat restoration, native grass/wildflower meadows, native plant and pollinator education garden, raptor nesting platforms, rain garden at SW corner of site, two nature play areas and a custom bird play structure, caregiver seating at all play areas, picnic shelter for 3-4 picnic tables, paved parking lot, and a restroom.<ul>

</ul> Park Construction In 2025, the developer will take the lead on designing and constructing the first phase of the project, working closely with the city to ensure alignment with the Master Plan. Phase 1 will prioritize key amenities in the park's northeast quadrant, including:<ul>

<li>A Parking Lot</li>
