What is the plan for downtown?
The City recognizes the importance of planning for Ridgefield to develop and maintain a destination downtown. The Downtown Waterfront District Sub Area plan lays out a plan for an interconnected downtown, waterfront, refuge, and neighborhoods.
Where can I find parks and trails?
Ridgefield recognizes the value of a robust and interconnected park and trail system. You can find a map of existing parks and trails on our website.
For trail loop suggestions and trail conditions, consider finding the City of Ridgefield on Strava. Strava is an exercise app used to record and share workouts - there is a paid premium version but the free version is all you need to view City of Ridgefield Activity. A City employee has recorded their walks throughout our trail network to provide additional information for your use. Once you are on Strava simply search for "City of Ridgefield" and view Activity.

We understand that road construction and impacts to traffic are frustrating. I don’t have time to attend City Council meetings. How can I find out what’s on the agenda and what happens at the meetings?
The City knows our residents are busy, so we offer a wide variety of ways for our community to be informed about what is happening in Ridgefield. City Council, Planning Commission, and Parks Board meeting agendas are available online at https://ridgefieldwa.portal.civicclerk.com/ and meeting audio recordings are available within a week.
